The Nature of Our Services

Inner Being Medicine™ provides relational and somatic coaching, mentoring, and educational consultancy.

Please note that while Aleksandra Matakovic-Manca has a background in medicine, psychiatry, and psychotherapy, these services are strictly non-clinical. We do not provide medical, psychiatric, or psychotherapeutic assessment, diagnosis, or treatment. We work entirely with what arises in the present moment and do not create, collect, or store clinical case notes or written records of coaching sessions.

Minimal information We May Collect & Use

We process your information under the lawful bases of performance of a contract, legitimate business interests, or explicit consent (where special category data is present).

We collect only:

  • Name, email address, and telephone number;
  • Records of administrative correspondence between you and our practice (emails or scheduling text messages);
  • Financial information strictly necessary to issue invoices and track payments (processed safely through secure third-party banking and payment providers);
  • When needed, and strictly subject to separate, unbundled written consent, anonymised text transcripts to be used solely for research and educational analysis.

Special Category Data

Physical or nervous system observations made during our somatic and relational work constitute Special Category Data under UK GDPR. We process this data relying on Article 9(2)(a) (Explicit Consent) via our signed Client Agreement, or Article 9(2)(g) (Substantial Public Interest) in the rare event that emergency safeguarding protocols must be activated.

Confidentiality & Strict Limits to Sharing

Information shared within our sessions is treated with absolute confidentiality. We will never sell your personal data.

Access to administrative data is restricted to authorised personnel (such as a Practice Administrator) operating under strict confidentiality agreements for scheduling and billing purposes.

Data will only be shared outside the practice without your consent under the following strict legal or safeguarding exemptions:

  • Where disclosure is required by UK law or legal proceedings;
  • Where we assess an immediate risk of harm to yourself or another person, or signs of acute clinical deterioration where emergency safeguarding protocols and public clinical escalation pathways (such as a GP or NHS 111) must be activated to ensure safety.

We retain your minimal administrative records securely for up to 6 years to comply with UK tax, financial accounting, and insurance requirements. Administrative enquiries where no service is taken up are deleted after 6 months. Fully anonymised research transcripts generated in the future contain no identifying data and may be retained indefinitely for educational analysis.

Under UK law, you have the right to access, correct, restrict, or request the erasure of your personal data, or to withdraw consent at any time. You also hold the right to lodge a complaint regarding data handling with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

For Clients Based in the European Union

Inner Being Medicine™ is based in the United Kingdom and is not established in the EU. Where we offer Services to individuals located in the EU, we aim to meet the requirements of the EU GDPR in addition to the UK GDPR. If we are required to appoint an EU representative for data protection purposes, their contact details will be provided to you on request.
