There is a part of you that knows how to heal.
Beneath the noise, you already know the way home.
So much of what shapes a life stays invisible — held in the body, in what goes unsaid, in what was never allowed to be seen.
My work is to help it become visible.
What happens then is a kind of alchemy, and it happens in the space between us — in presence, in deep listening, and in what becomes possible when someone is truly met.
Love is what makes it possible.
The Work
Inner Being Medicine is an innovative, integrated relational approach that helps you find home inside yourself, so you can return there again and again. It weaves together everything I've learned from over two decades as a psychiatrist and psychotherapist, as well as my own healing journey - nervous system regulation, developmental neurobiology, somatic practice, trauma-informed approaches, and authentic relating - to help you transform not just how you cope, but how you are, and how you move through life. The aim isn't just less overwhelm. It's more capacity: to feel life fully, to stay present, and to love more — yourself, others, life itself. When life takes you places, this is the quiet, steady love that brings you home.
It works through connection — with yourself, with others, with life itself. Deepening body awareness, grounding, and self-listening. Exploring the relational patterns that once kept you safe and now hold you in place. Accessing deeper feeling, vitality, and the resonance of being truly met.
At its centre is a belief that there is an innate capacity to heal and feel whole within all of us — always at work, waiting to be awakened and seen.
The foundations, when they matter
Coming from medicine, I cannot separate healing from the ground it rests on.
Health. Sleep. Rest. Energy. The daily rhythms that hold a life together — especially when trauma has disturbed the body's sense of safety.
And the wider life you are part of.
I know how deeply our physical environment shapes healing. So the work can happen outdoors when that serves. I am a qualified forest bathing guide, and when it helps, we meet under a tree or on a walk rather than in a room.
I see nature and the whole more-than-human world as allies and healing partners.
Please note that I hold registration as a doctor and, in Italy, as a medical psychotherapist. With individuals I choose to work as a coach, mentor and guide. With organisations I offer advisory work, not clinical care. Inner Being Medicine walks alongside medical and psychological care, and never replaces it.
Ways we can work together
Consultations and one-to-one journeys. Deeply personal and trauma-informed — in person in Devon, and online with people around the world.
Consultation
A spacious conversation for those seeking clarity, guidance and solid ground — to meet what stands in the way, hear what is stirring beneath the surface and get a sense of what wants to come next.
Whole in itself, or the beginning of something more.
BEGIN HERE →A trauma-informed, somatic and relational approach to coming home to yourself — shaped by over two decades as a psychiatrist and psychotherapist, and by my own healing journey.
Everything below begins after a Consultation — so that whatever we choose is grounded in something real.
One-to-One Journeys
Deep, personalised journeys for those navigating trauma, grief, or life transition — and for those who come not because something is wrong, but because they want to go further: to feel more whole, and to know depth, joy and freedom.

Alongside my work with individuals, I take on advisory work with organisations, schools and healthcare teams — thinking alongside people who are designing a service, training a staff team, or holding a situation that makes no sense to anyone in the room.
The interest underneath it is the same one: how systems can be built to support and grow the people inside them rather than exhaust them.
Mental health, trauma, and child and early development are three fields that rarely sit together in one pair of hands. For over two decades as a consultant psychiatrist and psychotherapist across Italy and England, I have worked where they overlap — in hospitals, therapeutic communities, paediatric rehabilitation, NHS services and schools, closely supporting the people doing that work.
This is advisory and educational work. It is not clinical care, and it does not include treatment, diagnosis or clinical governance.

Where this comes from
This work was created by integrating three decades of learning and experiences in both my work and my own healing journey of losing and finding myself.
I’ve worked with beautiful human souls carrying trauma they never asked for, and gifts they didn’t know they had. In hospitals. In therapeutic communities. With babies, children, adults, families in crisis. With colleagues and therapists learning to trust themselves again.
And what I’ve learned is this: the approach that works isn’t about technique. It’s about tracking what’s alive. Following what wants to be seen. Holding space for what’s real.
My approach is personalised, trauma-informed, neuro-developmentally grounded, and deeply relational. It is also intuitive, embodied, and sometimes mystical.
What has nourished this work
Over three decades I have trained in, experienced, and learned from, more approaches than I can sensibly name.
Medicine and the medicine wheel. Psychotherapy and flower essences. Neuroscience and the older languages that read a life.
None of them is a technique I apply on its own.
All of them are soil — nutrients that make the ground rich enough to compost another person's pain alongside them.
Like mycelium beneath a forest, these are also nutrients that feed what is already growing in you — what I have learned does not stay mine. It becomes yours to use long after we finish.
The soil and the languages I speak
- The clinical ground — Medicine. Psychiatry and neuropsychiatry. Medical psychotherapy. CBT, DBT, family therapy, play psychotherapy. Integrative and Anthroposophic Medicine.
- Relational practice — Interpersonal mindfulness. Circling and Surrendered Leadership. Transformational Connections Coaching.
- The body and the mind — Yoga for mental health and special needs. Vipassana. Mindfulness. Mentalization-based therapy. Breathwork. Somatic Experiencing. EMDR. Trauma releasing.
- The living world — Ayurveda. Homeopathy. Essential oils. Flower essences. Nature-based practices. Forest-bathing. Earth-based traditions and the medicine wheel.
- Image and story — Psychodynamic art therapy. Photo-therapy. Narrative medicine. Biographical counselling.
- The transpersonal realm — Reiki. Energy healing. Sound healing. Parts work. Family constellations.
- Languages that read a life — Astrology. Human Design.
What changes
Something shifts when we work together. Not all at once. Not the same way for everyone. But here is what I have witnessed, again and again:
- Shame loosens its grip. What felt unspeakable becomes something that can be met.
- Where there was helplessness, there is choice again — and the strength to act on it. Often, doors appear that were not visible before.
- The effort of holding it all together eases. What is underneath is not chaos, but the self that was always there.
- The body, no longer an enemy or a stranger, becomes somewhere it is possible to live — and a messenger worth listening to.
- The old story loses its hold — the one that explained everything and kept everything the same. There is more room to breathe.
- The harsh inner voice softens. A kinder one remains, long after our work together ends.
- What was carried alone can finally be set down, or shared. Some of it was never one person’s to carry.
- The change ripples outward — into life, work and relationships.
This is not about fixing. It is about remembering who you already are.
What people say
Her approach empowers me, sees me, holds me and lifts me above and beyond what I thought was possible. She has a remarkable gift of deep presence, listening and playfulness allowing for the joy and reverence of deep connection to bring about the transformation I seek.
I felt more present, more in my body, than I have in a long time. The people I met after you seemed to really sense that, we had intense eye contact without any words shared, like they could really see me because I was for the first time fully there.
This opens up room for entirely new perspectives, conversations and breakthroughs… I am more in my body and senses in each moment, able to listen to my body signals more and respond more closely to their messages. This approach has rippled out into my other relationships.
On those days when it’s hard to be kind to myself, it helps to have some version of her voice in my mind to remind me how.
Whether this is yours
This work asks something of you. It is worth knowing what, before you begin.
It tends to be right for people who
- Want depth rather than speed, and are willing to let something unfold at its own pace.
- Are curious about the body, even if the body has not felt like a friendly place.
- Are willing to be the expert of their own life, rather than handing that over.
- Want clinical grounding and are not frightened by the spiritual — or the other way round.
It is not the right place if
- You are looking for a diagnosis, a treatment plan, or a medication review. I hold registration as a doctor, and I choose not to practise that way here. Those things matter, and they belong with your doctor or prescribing professional.
- You need urgent care. I am not able to work where there is a significant level of physical or psychological risk, which is always best managed in a team that is able to provide that level of care. Please contact your GP or the urgent support available to you first. The door here stays open for afterwards.
- You want a specific technique, or a protocol to follow. There are good approaches built for that. This is not one of them.
- You would rather stay in the story and leave the body out of it. That is a legitimate preference. It is just not how this works.
- You want to be told what to do. I will reflect what I see, and I will sometimes be wrong. Your own knowing is the instrument we are here to strengthen — and it stays yours.
- Someone else has decided you should be here. It has to be your own yes.
And if you read this and something went quiet in you — that is worth listening to. Being met in the wrong place is worse than not being met yet. If this is not it, I hope you find the one that is.
If this meets you, the Consultation is where we begin.
If you’re ready to stop carrying this alone, and to be met in the places that most need it, I’d be honoured to walk this with you.
